Gémina attended the CANACINTRA National Convention in Querétaro, México

The Querétaro State, México, was the seat of the National Convention of Delegations, Sectors and Branches of CANACINTRA during the days 13, 14 and 15 of June. This conference gathered industrialists of 78 Delegations, 14 Sectors and 106 Industrial Branches. Francisco Javier Hurtado Mirón represented Gémina Procesos Alimentarios. He is Gémina’s responsible for the Latin American Market and the author of this review about this important event.

June 2018. - Last week I attended as international guest –representing GÉMINA Procesos Alimentarios- the CANACINTRA National Convention – National Chamber of Transformation Industry- celebrated in Querétaro, México. I would like to emphasize that CANACINTRA is the business organization that represents the interests of all the Mexican Industrial Sector –it is the most important in the country and includes the biggest companies of the different industrial sectors-. The National President of the Agro industrial sector, César Arturo Silerio, sent us the invitation and during those days, all his governing board and important entrepreneurs of the food sector in Mexico were with us.

The convention attendees were world-class speakers and guests. The President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, carried out the opening of the convention. The main presidential candidates to the imminent Mexico's election –Jaime Rodríguez Calderón, Ricardo Anaya, Andrés López Obrador y José Antonio Meade-, were invited, although due to their tight electoral schedule, it was only possible to enjoy the interesting conference given by the economist Meade.

Doctor Gabriel Székely gave another excellent conference “Myths and realities of the México-United States relationship in the Trump era”. The Mexican politics commentator Federico Reyes Heroles’ conference “México in the uncertainty era” was also very interesting due to its geopolitical international significance. In addition, there was a round table about “New business opportunities for Mexico in matters of foreign trade”

In summary, an extraordinary opportunity to listen and talk with the great representatives of politics and economy from this brother country in such an interesting and important moment for all of us.
